Front of House Manager, Jimmy Ostendorf, has had a notable career in the hospitality industry, spanning 40 years. Born and raised in Uptown New Orleans, Jimmy contributed to the success of several renowned establishments, including the Windsor Court Grill Room, K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen, and Commander’s Palace. Having held various roles within restaurants and hospitality, Jimmy has been an asset to the Red Fish Grill team since Spring 2021.

Jimmy began his journey with the Brennan family in 1989 working at Brennan’s. He switched gears and moved to Marriott Corporation, transitioning from server to front desk and rooms control position. His career has moved him across the country, from Dallas to Atlanta, Chicago, Lafayette, and Oklahoma City. In Dallas, Jimmy played a crucial role in opening Fog City Diner, where his leadership and vision significantly improved the restaurant’s reputation. Initially hired a waiter, he worked his way to the management team and transformed Fog City from a 2-star to a 4.5-star establishment, earning high praise from a local food critic.

Spending 10 years in Oklahoma City, Jimmy continued to make his mark by contributing to the openings of several venues, including Red Prime Steakhouse, Museum Café, and Ingrid’s Kitchen, the second oldest restaurant in the city. Returning to New Orleans before the pandemic, Jimmy joined Red Fish Grill as a waiter. After demonstrating strong skills and experience, he was promoted to Front of House Manager.

Jimmy has been married to Jeffrey Williamson for 30 years, who is also a part of the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group family working at Ralph’s on the Park. When Jimmy is not at Red Fish Grill, he loves to play with his dog, be in the outdoors, and cook adventurously without recipes.
