Daryl Askins, Front of House Manager, joined the Red Fish Grill team in May 2023. Having worked in restaurants all throughout high school, Daryl naturally gravitates to the hospitality industry, creating an environment at Red Fish Grill where both guests and staff feel genuinely happy and valued.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Daryl is an LSU alum who studied chemical engineering before discovering his true calling in hospitality and management. Prior to his current role, Daryl worked at Golden Corral as a Kitchen Manager for a year, General Manager at Saltgrass for a year, and General Manager at Chili’s for three years.

Daryl’s favorite aspect of his job is turning challenging situations into positive experiences, and he is rewarded by seeing happy guests and their appreciation for an enjoyable dining experience. As Front of House Manager, Daryl recognizes that creating memorable experiences is at the core of his work. During his time at Tastebuds Management, Daryl received three guest experience awards.

Daryl has been married for 24 years and is the devoted father to Anaya, John, and Aiden. Anaya is currently pursuing her Master’s in Neurosciences at FAU and John is working towards a computer science degree with a minor in cyber security. In his free time, Daryl enjoys bowling, fishing, fantasy football, and all things sports.
